• Valid for travel until early March 31st for Sunday through Wednesday departures from the United States and Monday through Thursday departures to the United States. Must purchase by March 6th

How to Search for Availability:

• Use ITA Software Matrix Airfare Search and use the following search criteria:

• Departing from: MCI
• Outbound Advanced Routing Code: ewr fra
• Destination:  JNB
• Return Advanced Routing Code: fra ewr
• (Click on Advanced Routing Codes link to enable advanced routing code input)
• Select “See calendar of lowest fares”
• Length of stay “0-7” (the max date range is 7 days. So 0-7, 5-12, 7-14 etc)

Sample Routing:

• MCI – ORD (Chicago) – FRA (Frankfurt) – JNB (Johannesburg) – FRA – ORD – MCI

Sample Mileage:

• 20,258 miles or 6.0 cents per mile. Lufthansa is a member of the Star Alliance and United partner. This fare will earn 100% mileage with United as it is in L class. Be mindful to select an itinerary is that is 100% Lufthansa operated from Germany to South Africa. If you select an itinerary that is operated by either Swiss or South African, you will not earn any miles for those segments.
