US Airways is attacking United’s fares to a few cities in the West Coast.

• Sample to San Francisco
• October 11th – 14th

Fare Availability:

• Valid for travel on the outbound until March, 2015 for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday departures. Must purchase at least 14 days in advance of departure

How to Search for Availability:

• Use ITA Software Matrix Airfare Search and use the following search criteria:

• Departing from: IAH
• Outbound Advanced Routing Code: us us
• Destination:  SFO
• Return Advanced Routing Code: us us
• (Click on Advanced Routing Codes link to enable advanced routing code input)
• (For Portland, replace SFO with PDX)
• (For Sacramento, replace SFO with SMF)
• Select “See calendar of lowest fares”
• Length of stay “0-7″. The maximum range is 7 days, so enter ranges like so: 0-7, 5-12, 7-14, etc.

Sample Routing:

• IAH – PHX (Phoenix) – SFO (San Francisco) – PHX – IAH

Sample Mileage:

• 3,330 miles or 4.9 cents per mile

Get Tickets:

• Book on Orbitz using dates found on ITA Software Matrix Airfare Search. Make sure “Additional search options” is selected then check “Narrow the search to my preferred airlines” and select “US Airways”.
